"This marks the vessel's maiden visit to South Asian shores, making it a milestone not just for Vizhinham but for India’s emergence as a key player in global transshipment. A bold vision now in motion.” The ship was expected to remain berthed at the port for approximately 24 hours.

Launched in March 2023, the MSC Irina is an engineering marvel designed for the crucial transportation route between Asia and Europe. It embarked on its maiden voyage in April of the same year.
