Puri, June 25: In preparation for the upcoming festivities and large influx of devotees, the Puri Police on Tuesday released a detailed traffic advisory to ensure smooth vehicular movement and proper parking arrangements across the town.
The guidelines clearly demarcate separate entry routes and parking zones for vehicles approaching from Brahmagiri, Bhubaneswar, and Konark, while also addressing two-wheeler movement.

Route and parking plans:
From Brahmagiri Side (Four-Wheelers):
Light motor vehicles (LMVs) coming from the Brahmagiri side will be allowed to travel up to the Sterling area via Mangalaghat and Sterling Chhak. Designated parking areas in order of preference include:
Roadside near Sterling Chhak
Sterling Chhak (Right Side)
Sterling Chhak (Left Side)
SCS College Ground
From Bhubaneswar Side (Four-Wheelers):
Vehicles from Bhubaneswar will be guided to the Talabania parking zone via Malatipatapur ROB, Baidas Nagar, and the Grid Station. Parking will be available at:
OLA Guest House
Helipad
ITI College Ground
Indoor Stadium
Horticulture Field
Hygienic Fish Market
If the Talabania area reaches capacity, vehicles will be diverted to Sterling Chhak via the MalatipatapurโBatagaonโMangalaghat route.
From Konark Side (Four-Wheelers):
Vehicles approaching from Konark will follow the same route as Bhubaneswar-bound traffic, via Balighai, Baidas Nagar, and the Grid Station, and will be accommodated at the same Talabania parking locations.
Two-Wheelers (All Directions)
From Brahmagiri and Bhubaneswar:
Two-wheelers will be permitted up to the Old Jagannath Ballav Parking (OJBP) on a first-come, first-served basis. Once filled, overflow parking will be directed to:
Matitota Helipad Ground
Matitota Playground
Return Routes:
Brahmagiri: via Mangalaghat
Bhubaneswar: via Jatiababa Chhak โ Kumbharapada PS โ Atharanala โ Batagaon
From Konark:
Two-wheelers will be permitted up to Blue Flag Beach and Hotel Neelachal Ashok, via Baidas Nagar, Grid Station, Helipad, Pethakata Chhak, CT Road, and Subash Bose Chhak. The return route will be the same.
Restrictions:
The police have strictly prohibited vehicular movement on the ROB road from Baidas Nagar Chhak under any circumstance. Additional signage and police personnel will be deployed at strategic points to assist travellers and maintain order.
Authorities have urged all devotees and visitors to cooperate with the traffic guidelines for a safe and hassle-free experience during the festive period.
