Majhi began by lauding India’s strategic response to the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam and praised Operation Sindoor as a symbol of national unity and decisive leadership. Highlighting India’s strong economic trajectory, he noted that Odisha had outpaced national GDP growth, registering a 7.2% growth in 2024-25 against the national average of 6.5%.

Emphasizing Odisha’s development potential, Majhi thanked the Centre for sanctioning railway and highway projects worth over ₹73,000 crore and ₹4,600 crore respectively, with another ₹17,500 crore in the pipeline. He reiterated that Odisha is implementing key central schemes such as PM-USHA, PM SHRI, NEP 2020, and PM-JAY in close coordination with the Union Government.

As Odisha prepares to celebrate its centenary in 2036, Majhi unveiled a long-term vision for a “Viksit Odisha” aligned with the national goal of a “Viksit Bharat@2047.” The state aims to grow its economy to $500 billion by 2036 and $1.5 trillion by 2047. The comprehensive vision document, crafted using inputs from over 3.2 lakh citizens and AI analysis, is set to launch on June 12, 2025.

Key focus areas include expanding irrigation to 90% of cultivable land, boosting urbanisation from 17% to 40% by 2036, and positioning Odisha as a hub for textiles, food processing, IT services, and emerging technologies like AI and robotics. The CM highlighted the global success of the "Skilled in Odisha" initiative and the World Skill Centre.

Majhi also underscored the success of the Subhadra Yojana, benefiting over 1 crore women, and Odisha’s environmental efforts through the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign. He reaffirmed Odisha’s commitment to inclusive development through improved infrastructure, healthcare, education, and tourism, including plans for a metropolitan region around Bhubaneswar and developing the Buddhist circuit.

Calling Odisha a state "where tradition meets tomorrow," Majhi concluded with a pledge to uphold Odia identity while contributing meaningfully to India’s journey toward a developed future.
