Puri, Odisha: Shri Kshetra reverberated with chants of "Jai Jagannath" and "Haribol" on the auspicious occasion of Snana Yatra, as thousands of devotees gathered along the Grand Road (Bada Danda) to witness the divine ritual of Mahaprabhu Jagannath’s ceremonial bath.
The sacred Snana of the Daru Brahma deities—Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra, and Sudarshan—was performed with 108 pots of aromatic, sanctified water. The spiritual atmosphere was charged with devotion as the ritual unfolded in the presence of an immense sea of devotees.
Following the Snana, the Chaturdha Murtis are set to appear in Gaja Besha—the majestic elephant attire—a special darshan that draws lakhs of pilgrims every year. The sight of Mahaprabhu in this grand form is considered highly auspicious, and pilgrims waited with bated breath for the divine appearance.
With spiritual fervor at its peak, Puri’s Grand Road transformed into a devotional hub, reflecting the unwavering faith and emotion of Jagannath’s devotees.
